Child Abuse At Christian Brothers College, Kalgoorlie – A Call for Witnesses
Koffels Solicitors and Barristers are reaching out to anyone who attended the Christian Brothers College, Kalgoorlie, in the mid to late 1970s. We are seeking information about a Christian Brother – Brother O’Loughlin.
The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse identified that as many as 22% of the Christian Brothers in Australia were alleged abusers. Christian Brothers who were accused of abuse were systemically moved to different schools by the Christian Brother leadership rather than punished or reported to the police.
Koffels Solicitors and Barristers are seeking witnesses who attended the Christian Brothers College, Kalgoorlie, between 1970 and 1985. Such witnesses could provide useful evidence regarding their experiences at the College, which could assist victims in achieving justice.
