Brian Spillane
Brian Spillane, an ordained priest and teacher, was associated with St Stanislaus’ College from the early 1970s through the early 1990s. During this time, he held various roles, including form master, dormitory master, full-time teacher, sports coach, dean of discipline, cadet unit lieutenant, and band supervisor. His offences occurred between 1974 and 1990. In 2017, Spillane was sentenced to a total of 25 years in prison, with a non-parole period of sixteen and a half years.
Kevin Phillips
Kevin Phillips, also an ordained priest, was associated with St Stanislaus’ College during the 1980s. He pleaded guilty in 2010 to four counts of gross indecency with a child under the age of 18. In 2011, he was sentenced to a total of 15 months in jail.
John Gaven
John Gaven, a Vincentian Brother, served at St Stanislaus’ College during the 1980s. He was charged with 28 sexual offences and, in March 2013, was found guilty of six sexual assault charges against former students.
Glenn Michael Humphreys
Glenn Michael Humphreys, an ordained priest, was associated with St Stanislaus’ College during the 1970s and 1980s. He was found guilty of sexual assault offences against students during this period. In June 2018, Humphreys was sentenced to a minimum custodial term of three and a half years.
William Stanley Irwin
William Stanley Irwin, a former Catholic brother, served as a dormitory master at St Stanislaus’ College for two years during the mid-1980s. In 2011, he was convicted on two counts of gross indecency involving a male under the age of 18.
