Kevin Lynch – Child Abuse at Brisbane Grammar School

Kevin Lynch was a school counsellor in Brisbane, Queensland, whose tenure at two prestigious institutions was marred by extensive allegations of child sexual abuse.

Professional Background:

  • Brisbane Grammar School (BGS): Lynch served as a counsellor from 1973 to 1988. During this period, he sexually abused numerous students under the guise of providing therapy.
  • St Paul’s School: After leaving BGS, Lynch was employed at St Paul’s School in Bald Hills from 1989 until 1997. His abusive conduct continued at this institution.

Allegations and Charges:

  • Lynch’s methods often involved manipulating students into inappropriate situations during counselling sessions. He would sometimes use hypnosis and other deceptive practices to facilitate the abuse.
