Ross Koffel was recently invited by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Sydney, to be a guest speaker at the “Doing Business in Asia” seminar held in Sydney, as part of the “Sister Cities Australia National Conference.” With the Korea Australia Free Trade Agreement entering into force last year, Ross spoke about the implications for business in these jurisdictions, explaining that it impacted on much more than just tariffs.
The workshop was attended by Chinese and Japanese representatives as well as a strong participation from the Korean community including from both business leaders and government. Also in attendance were visiting Asian Delegations, Austrade and NSW Trade & Investment representatives. The keynote speaker was the Hon. Bob Carr, past Premier of New South Wales; and most recently the Australian Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs.
As part of the Asia-Pacific region, and with the Australian government encouraging trade and business development with so many of our neighbours, the interest of foreign business investors is growing in Australia, and Koffels were proud to be of assistance to the promotion of these new opportunities.
